Blackstone River Greenway

Actual Path

June, 2020 by josephspaziano

The actual bike path, itself, is just a bit over 11 miles. The southern end starts at Blackstone Valley Prep high school in Cumberland. The northern end starts in Woonsocket near Mendon rd. It does connect to the East Bay, but it is about 7 miles of street in between Cumberland and Providence.

East Bay Bike Path

Superb Ride + Lunch @ Sunset Cafe

June, 2020 by matthewgray.design

Smooth ride with few interruptions. Fairly busy but it was a sunny Sunday and Father's Day. The trail maintenance was immaculate minus a minor detour in Barrington; they had it temporarily blockaded for tree trimming work.

Polite riders and walkers along the way. Loved the trail-friendly stops and shops from beginning to end. Watchemoket Cove isthmus is truly picturesque.

Must stop at Sunset Cafe in Bristol! Cheerful mom-and-pop serving up hearty and flavorful sandwiches for a fair price.

G & S Trolley trail

Great short, basic trail!

June, 2020 by ale8sailor

This trail is great for beginners, especially for my kids who just started riding without training wheels. There are a few moderate hills that may be difficult for single-speed bikes. Overall great experience with potential offshoots to Haley Farm, Bluff Point, and more.

Ten Mile River Greenway

Lovely Hidden Walking Trail

June, 2020 by mburdick13

I’ve lived just over the border of MA my whole life and never knew about this trail. Really lovely hidden gem! Particularly for walking since it’s only 3 miles, but there were many bikers that passed by. Would recommend to anyone considering a visit. It’s shaded and flat.

Hop River State Park Trail

Beautiful trail through the woods

June, 2020 by SPanny

We rode the Hop River trail on 6/13/20 from Willimantic (parking lot adjacent to Mackey’s Pet Store) to the Bolton Notch State Park and back, about 28 miles. If you’re looking for a packed dirt/cinder trail through the woods, this is just about perfect. Trail is in very good shape, almost all shaded, really takes you away. The trail from Willimantic to Bolton Notch features a long, gradual uphill – but really once you start pedaling it’s not difficult at all, and the route is so picturesque that you don’t really notice. Long sections run high along the river. Really a nice trail, highly recommended. Please also note that from this parking lot you can connect to the Air Line Trail…you’ll ride a path under Rt 66 and follow the paved trail along the river back towards Willimantic. The Air Line is also highly recommended!

Very few people which is a big plus in the time of COVID-19. Beautiful views of waterfowl. Nice paths to walk or bike off-road also!

Beautiful and flat

Really a wonderful ride. Took off one star because it's pretty heavily trafficked, which is a drawback in the time of COVID-19.

Cape Cod Canal Bikeway

check the weather!

June, 2020 by breebrasil

It was a beautiful, easy ride from the bay to the point, and a hardcore workout on the way back! You see, it was fine weather with the wind to our back from the bay, but as soon as we hit the point, it started raining and we were heading into the wind in the way back, so it was. It an easy ride, but sure was a great workout!! Definitely check the weather when you are headed there- it was sunny and warm at home, but 63 and foggy when we arrived...tho no prediction of rain . We’re definitely going back again.
