Overview
The Fish Creek Trail is a 2.8-mile paved, multi-use path in Estes Park, Colorado, which runs between the Lake Estes Trail in the north and Scotts Ponds Playground in the south. It runs largely along Fish Creek Trail along a wide concrete path, although each trail parking on either trail end is comprised of dirt.
About the Route
The northernmost trailhead along the Fish Creek Trail is located at the Estes Park Dog Park, although trail users can continue a bit north underneath the highway to connect to the Lake Estes Trail. The trail winds south from here, passing Stanley Park, before meeting the banks of Fish Creek. The trail continues south largely alongside the creek, its wide concrete path occasionally crossing along boardwalk bridges.
After passing Scott Ave. on the south end of the trail, the trail moves westward and moves away from the creek just briefly before reaching its southern end at Scott's Ponds Playground.
Connections
The Fish Creek Trail connects to the Lake Estes Trail at the north end.
At the south end of the trail near Scotts Ponds Playground, the trail connects to the Saint Vrain Avenue Trail.
