Located in Sheboygan at the South Pier, the Lakefront Bike Path begins off Indiana Avenue and connects on to the Pier Boardwalk. The trail is right off the shores so users have a pleasant ride or walk right at the water, and the shops readily accessible. With the boardwalk, one could make a full circle encompassing the Harbor Centre.
The south pier is under repair and north end of trail isl blocked off. Should be open by fall
Spent a wonderful summer morning enjoying the cool lake breeze and astonishing views. I don’t understand why the mileage is posted as 1.9 miles, when I rode approximately 5-6 miles. I started neat the Blue Harbor resort and rode out on the pier to the end. Then I followed the generous lakeside train north past numerous parks and a couple marinas. There is one large hill on the north end, but take it as there’s more to enjoy above that!
I wouldn't say this a destination trail for an outing, but if you were in the area it is a must visit. If you start on the north and head south, there is a huge resort on your right side with lake Michigan on the left. It's very short for a bike ride, one mile round trip, but seems like a fantastic trail for an evening stroll in the summer. The resort might even add to the mix in the summer season.
