Riverwalk Trail (KS) Description

Located in Junction City (about two hours west of Kansas City), the Riverwalk Trail winds along the north bank of the Republican River for nearly five miles between Fort Riley and Milford Dam. The crushed-limestone trail connects to the Milford State Park trail system via the Old River Bluff Trail, making for a continuous 14-mile ride. Along the way, look for bald eagles perched in the treetops.

Parking and Trail Access

There are two trailhead locations: one on the west end of the trail at the Outlet Park tube area below the Milford Lake Dam and, on the east end of the trail, north of the Washington Street bridge.

Riverwalk Trail (KS) Reviews

This trail has lots of shade trees which is perfect on hot sunny days! Great distance for a group to bike. Scenic and well marked! Will bike there again !
