The Taychas Trail is located in Frisco, a fast-growing suburb of Dallas named after the St. Louis-San Francisco Railway that was built here in the early 1900s. The trail leaves from Coit Road in the north and follows West Rowlett Creek south for 2.2 miles. The route runs through a peaceful forested area and passes Limestone Quarry Park, a lovely respite with its prairie grasses, limestone benches and public artwork.
The Taychas Trail runs between Coit Rd. (Frisco) and the Rowlett Creek Trail.
Parking is available at Limestone Quarry Park, 1230 Maltby Dr. (Frisco)
Please see TrailLink Map for detailed directions.
What a nice trail! Wide enough for bikes & walking/running. The little foot paths to the limestone quarry & stream are great! It’s a short walk but looks promising that it is continuing up by the SRT!
Trail now runs down independence and behind Preston trail church, and loops back around to the Lawler Park neighborhood
Beautiful trail that isn't quite finished (it dead ends next to a water treatment facility. But great for a run or photo session! Lots of playgrounds near by too.
Very easy to walk
