The Todd Park Bike Trail makes use of an old railroad grade to connect recreational destinations in Austin. The paved trail links Todd Park to Mill Pond on the Cedar River. The trail traverses Todd Park, from the west end to the east end, before entering the wooded former railroad corridor. The trail crosses 14th St NE at grade, but a bike-ped bridge takes users safely over I-90 at the next crossing. The trail parallels an active rail line until 8th St NE. Signage shows that East Lake lies 1.0 miles east from this point, while Mill Pond is a half mile west. These connections can be made using the wide sidewalk adjacent to 8th Street NE.
Another way to extend the journey is to travel to Wildwood Park via the Wildwood Trail, which begins across 11th Street from Todd's Park.
Todd Park is located at 11th Street & 21st Ave NE, Austin. There's parking near the trail's west end on 11th Street and on the east side of the park near the intersection of 21st Ave & 14th Street NE.
