The 40th Street Bike Path is an asphalt sidepath trail that follows its namesake roadway through a lightly developed stretch of southern Rochester, coasting over rolling hills and the edge of woods to the north for a mile and a half. The eastern end of the path provides a way over the highway for cyclists and pedestrians, and also offers a connection to the St. Bridgets Bike Path, a similar trail that offers access to the hotels and businesses by the highway exit. Requiring relatively few road crossings for a sidepath trail, the 40th Street Bike Path is a nice outdoor recreation option if you find yourself in the area.
No parking is available for this trail. Nearby parking may be available at local businesses; be sure to follow any posted parking signs and regulations.
