The Southern Woods Trail is a short, paved trail that runs through a pretty section of suburban southern Rochester. The trail starts in the north where the 48th Street Bike Path crosses over Willow Creek, with the trail heading south to follow the wooded edge of the creek, through the open fields of Southern Woods Park. A small playground in the park provides a welcome recreation option for nearby residents with children; from the park, the trail joins the eastern side of 11th Avenue, heading south along the road for about another half-mile.
Parking is available at Southern Woods Park, located at 4982 11th Avenue SW.
