The Bear Creek Cutoff Trail serves as a short connector trail, allowing cyclists and pedestrians access to and from the southern end of the Bear Creek Trail. The asphalt pathway spans from 11th Avenue to Marion Road in southern Rochester, right at the confluence of Willow Creek and Bear Creek; while the trail does run alongside a suburban roadway, the scenery to the north and south is quite pleasant, filled with forests and wildlife thanks to the nearby creeks. Trail users can also connect to the Marion Road Bike Path on the eastern end of the cutoff trail, which provides a paved sidepath connection to adjacent neighborhoods, schools, and parks.
Parking is available at the start of the Bear Creek Trail in the Jean & Carl Frank Canine Park, located at 1839 Pinewood Road.
The whole thing is a circle, so getting back is easy
