Far on the northern edge of Rio Rancho, just before the suburban sprawl fizzles out into the desert foothills to the north, the Enchanted Hills Path provides a short but sweet paved asphalt trail to help connect cyclists and pedestrians with local parks and recreational amenities. Despite its name, the trail is mostly flat, providing views of the surrounding mountains as it runs from Vista Grande Park and the end of the Venada Arroyo Trail, through Mountain View Park, before coming to an end at the Chayote Trail that runs along the north-south roadway. Trail users can take that trail south to connect with the Enchanted Hills Boulevard Trail to form a wide loop throughout the community.
Parking is available at the southeast end of the trail in Vista Grande Park, located at 6901 Husky Drive. Additional parking is available in Mountain View Park off of Grayson Hills Drive.
