Offering over a mile and a half of paved, wide sidepath trail along its namesake boulevard, the Loma Colorado Boulevard Trail manages to pack quite a lot into such a relatively short distance: The trail provides access to the local high school and athletic fields, a local park and aquatic center, a public library branch, and even an indoor athletic center. While the actual trail itself is nothing to write home about, offering no shade and little separation from the roadway, the connections it provides for area residents makes it a valuable community asset.
The trail also connects into part of Rio Rancho's trail network, with the western end of the trail meeting up with the Broadmoor Boulevard Trail, and the northeastern end of the trail linking with the Northern Boulevard Trail.
Parking is available along the trail at the above destinations, all located on Loma Colorado Boulevard.
