The Broadmoor Boulevard Trail runs north and south along the side of its namesake roadway, forming the western end of a linked series of sidepath trails that run throughout this section of suburban Rio Rancho. The wide asphalt trail hugs the side of the road, following dry, rolling hills on the outskirts of neighborhoods dense with single-family homes. In the north, the trail meets up with the Northern Boulevard Trail, and in the south it links to the High Resort Boulevard Trail - midway through, the Loma Colorado Boulevard Trail provides a convenient connection to the local high school, athletic facilities, and public library. While none of these trails are particularly scenic, the Broadmoor Boulevard Trail is a nice asset for local cyclists and pedestrians looking to get around the community.
No dedicated trail parking is available, however parking may be available nearby on-street or at nearby school and recreation sites.
Thus is just a poorly maintained “bike” lane that stops and starts sporadically.
