A sidepath trail that runs for just over a mile along Cabezon Boulevard in the Cabezon neighborhood of Rio Rancho, the Cabezon Boulevard Trail provides an off-road means of traversing through the heart of this suburban enclave. The trail takes trail users to Cabezon Park, a large green space with playgrounds and a pool, and connects to the Cabezon Linear Park Trail near the eastern end - the linear park provides a somewhat more scenic trail experience than the more utilitarian Cabezon Boulevard Trail. On the northwestern end, the trail ends across the road from an elementary school; trail users can also choose to continue along the sidepath trail that runs along the east side of Unser Boulevard.
Parking is available along the trail at Cabezon Park, located at 2307 Cabezon Boulevard SE.
This is not really a “trail” in my opinion. It’s a nice walk but noisy. Cabezon has become a very busy street.
