A nice neighborhood trail located in the Tres Placitas subdivision in northern Albuquerque, the Tres Placitas Trail runs along the east side of the Black Arroyo flood channel, passing behind quiet streets and suburban homes before turning to head into Tres Placitas Park, a small neighborhood park with playgrounds and open play space. The trail forms a loose loop around the neighborhood, providing residents with an easy-to-access paved recreation path.
At Ellison Drive, the trail meets up with the McMahon Boulevard Trail, as well as the Albuquerque Black Arroyo Trail just over the arroyo bridge, helping to connect the Tres Placitas Trail and neighborhood with the city's larger network of multi-use trails.
On-street parking is available next to Tres Placitas Park, located on Pueblo Place NW; be sure to follow any posted parking signs and regulations.
