This short segment of the Knoxville Greenway system runs parallel to Middlebrook Pike (SR 169). As one heads west, the landscape transitions from commercial/industrial to residential. At Liberty, the trail continues south as "Liberty Street" greenway from which you can access John Tartleton Park, and the Young Williams Animal Center. However, you could also choose to continue west along Middlebrook Pike - there's more asphalt to ride.
The best palace to park is at the shopping center on the corner of Middlebrook Pike and Lorraine St. Starting on I-40 heading east, take the US-129 exit, then make a right onto Partners Place, followed by a slight right to get to Middlebrook Pike.
