The Sequoyah Greenway sits right on the median of the scenic Cherokee Boulevard through Knoxville’s grandest neighborhoods, allowing pedestrians to safely enjoy the boulevard’s stately beauty. It’s especially stunning in spring when the dogwoods bloom, and fall, when their fiery foliage is on display. Given that it’s in an area known as Sequoyah Hills, it’s no surprise that this is not the flattest of runs; the crushed gravel trail does undulate as it continues along. South of Tugaloo Dr. is Sequoyah Park, which lies on the west bank of the Tennessee River. The trail ends where Cherokee Blvd. ends – at Scenic Dr.
Sequoyah Park has ample parking as well as picnic tables, restrooms, athletic fields, water access points and other amenities. The park is located at 1400 Cherokee Blvd but has three entrances. Head west on Kingston Pike, roughly a mile from the Neyland Dr./ Kingston Pike interchange. Turn left onto Cherokee Blvd, opposite Laurel Church of Christ.
Prefect for beginners. The view of the trial is beautiful
