The Mill Creek Greenway is a paved, multi-use pathway that runs through nicely wooded grounds in suburban New Castle County. The trail follows a portion of its namesake creek, winding its way along shaded corridors between residential neighborhoods.
The eastern end of the trail runs past the outskirts of a local golf course before coming to an end at McKennans Church Road, where just across the street the Delcastle Recreational Park and its loop trail provide fantastic opportunities to extend your recreation outing.
An asphalt sidepath along Middleton Drive links to the trail from the north, giving even more neighborhoods an easy path to the Mill Creek's charming natural setting. While it may not be likely to draw many non-locals, the Mill Creek Greenway is a nice hidden gem of a recreation path for nearby residents, helping to link the community together for cyclists and pedestrians.
Parking is available within Delcastle Recreational Park, located on McKennans Church Road to the west of State Route 41.
Wish they'd extend it somehow. It's a decent workout and somewhat nicer in the colder months since it dumps you into del Rec. Not as many walkers in the winter
Great trail through the woods but the constant hills make it pretty challenging.
