An asphalt pathway that runs along the side of Toll Road in southern Reno, trail users don't have to pay a thing for the privilege of using this convenient, multi-use sidepath trail. The trail spans from Big Smokey Drive in the south to Geiger Grade Road in the north, providing over a mile and a half of space for cyclists and pedestrians.
On the northern end, additional trails continue just across the road within the residential subdivisions, allowing even more of the area to be traversed on trails. Traveling from the north, the trail has a gentle downward slope, surrounded by quiet residential neighborhoods and high-desert brush. The trail itself has very little shade, but does offer some lovely views of the hills and mountains that surround the Reno area, making the Toll Road Trail a great place for a run or a quick bike ride.
No dedicated trail parking is available, but trail users can park near the route of the trail at Bailey Creek Park, a small neighborhood park located on Granite Mine Drive, just off of Toll Road via Silver Run Drive.
