Lamoni Rail-Trail

July 2023

The trails ends in a gully. It looks like they are revising the water drainage, but there’s no warning signs until the trail abruptly ends at a impassable gully.

Now all asphalt but add the Poh Hollow park loop for a scenic hike

October, 2022 by bastamper

The entire 2 mile rail trail is asphalt and very easy grade. You can take the Poh Hollow Park trail for some more adventurous hiking. Smooth wide grass path with some good hill terrain. Can also add in Trace Dragoon Nature Center for a nice informational trail. I’m guessing it adds about a mile.

Urban Trail Hyde Park to Krug Park

September, 2021 by acwgdnybbk

We have electric bikes and enjoy checking out all the nearby trails. The Urban Trail in St Jo was great. It is very different from many others we have done. As in previous reviews this trail has a lot of hills so this gave us the opportunity to use lots of gears and PAS options. We enjoyed looking at all the different scenery along the way as we went through park, residential, older and newer areas and lots of squirrels. The whole trail is paved which was nice. The main trail is about 10 miles but there is a side trail to 29 that will add a few more miles to get a longer ride.

Easy Peaceful Trail with River Views

May, 2021 by therootfamily4

This is an easy trail to walk, bike, or blade. Very level. Easy parking at the Remington Nature Center, located at the north end of the trail. As of Spring 2021, the trail is closed at the Casino, but the trail south is pleasant.

St. Joseph Riverwalk

Parts are beautiful, others need to be repaired and the areas around it cleaned up. Not worth a special trip to use.

Mapleleaf Pathway

great little trail

Great little trail to get some exercise. Private, wooded, and with a splash of history with an old railroad signal. Connects Diagonal to the ghost town of Knowlton.

You’ll love this trail. It goes along side with the Missouri river. Plenty to see and the people are nice.

Saint Joseph starting at Hyde Park

Be prepared for some steep hills- I was not and ended up walking my bike quite a bit. The trees were in full autumn color and beautiful! The trail was clean and I felt safe alone. Just keep in mind it will be a workout.

Pickett trail

I rode the part of the trail from Pickett Road to the Noyes parkway by the rec center and back. The ride was very enjoyable and staff at Rec center was very friendly allowed me to get some water and fill my bottles. great section for new riders.

Bad Entrance/Exit

The posts are to close together to allow a 3 wheel Tri-Cruiser Entrance. Should be at least 40 inches. Noel Keller
