Took me 20 minutes to just exit the parking lot since there was no parking and an incredible mass of people not even bothering to wear masks. Big waste of time and gas money bothering to go up there and not have access.
I love this trail! The trail itself is 1 mile, but living at the complex’s around Grapevine Mills/The trail, it is a perfect 2.12 mile loop from my front door! Also some of the complex’s have direct access to the trail, so if your looking for a place to live with trails, you found it! The trail is 10 feet wide, paved, winding, and as a female I feel safe running this trail as Apt complex is on one side and the golf course/creek is on the other.
Great for biking or walking. Crosses a few major roads but does so at red lights.
The Good:
Good Paved Roads, Good Combination of Parks in area, Good mixture of curve and straight ways, Good patches of wooded areas
The Excitement:
There is a finished bridge crossing over to the Dallas side of the Trinity Levee, just not opened yet and no paved trails
The Bad:
Occasionally you will smell the Landfill near the trail, Kamikaze Grasshoppers like to hop when you are riding, please wear Eye protection
Snake crossing path
This trail now goes from Windhaven/Spring Creek where there is a ton of parking at the Liberty Windhaven Park and goes North for about 3.5 to 4 miles to Buzz Rasor Park in Frisco. Its complete unlike the Trail map. All gaps are finished.
A really easy ride through nature, history, and amenities of Allen. Who knew? Allen Heritage Village. Hydrous (wake board training facility). Historic water station, railway, and bridges. Recreational facilities.
Might open again as they cleared a log dam. The trail was slightly flooded but passable after a fair amount of early sept rain. The parking lot area might be damaged.
This is a short trail but allows me to ride all the way to the lake while keeping off the road most do the time.
What a nice trail! Wide enough for bikes & walking/running. The little foot paths to the limestone quarry & stream are great! It’s a short walk but looks promising that it is continuing up by the SRT!
Enjoyed walking this trail this morning except the bikers come flying by you without any warning. The trees over hang the path in some areas which was nice but limits your visibility to see the lake.
I find this to be a very wonderful Trail its not overly crowded, however, as some other reviews have suggested that this could be dangerous as people try to cross busy intersection
