I used to run this trail all the time from 380, then it closed for years. It’s now reopen and the trail looks the same as I remember. Very flat packed dirt or gravel and doing the full out and back is less than 300 ft of elevation change.
Probably very pretty in the spring and summer. We walked in January so a lot of bare trees and the water was low. It's next to the Grapevine mall so after The Escape Game, Legoland, The aquarium, or bowling, it's a nice walk.
Lovely. Long stretches of smooth cement that goes for a long way at at time. Few, if any, seams to give you a bumpy ride or intermittent vibrations every time you hit a seam. Its nice cement. Still, there are several intersections that require an extended stop while traffic sorts until your turn. Not a ride for the intermediate or advanced who is hammering miles, just too many stops. However if you are out for some fun and riding it is above average in most respects.
Despite dedicated walking/running sections that are more suited to running, everyone walks on the concrete sections making cycling more difficult.
This is a beautiful trail, more suitable for running and walking than biking. Extremely neglected in areas, with fallen trees literally on top of the trail. With the neighboring areas, I was very surprised. Also, there are some very isolated areas.
Great place for running, it’s too short for biking. It seems somewhat forgotten, but it has potential. Also, places saturated with slippery mud, so be careful.
Started at Lions Club on a Sunday, no traffic, easy to park! Lots of activity on trail, not for speed biking but still enough room for everyone. I agree with other review about trail markings. I wish all did a better job. The construction was still happening but we had a trail clearly marked to navigate through it. When you get to the cemetery keep going, the trail picks up on the other side. When you're coming from the big city park and you come to the basketball court and parking lot, turn, go over the bridge. New parking lot and pretty sidewalk art trail takes you across the street. Adventurous, a little curvy and lots of beauty!
This is a wonderful trail for walking, scootering, biking, jogging etc. The views are beautiful and it feels safe and friendly.
The southern part of trail after lake crossing could do with better routing near the highland village and can get confusing due to lack of signage.
It is good for running and walking, also some biking. However it ends in a golf field which is annoying as I would have prefer more access to the park itself. Looking forward to see it connected to trinity gloves park.
Beautiful park with nice wide paths. Connected to Runyon Park Trail for an even longer, more challenging ride/walk. Wonderful bridges over running creek with an occasional waterfall and schools of fish. Some challenging hills and corners with mixed shade and sunshine. Super fun, rewarding bike ride. Don't think we saw the complete trail. Will go back again and explore.
Inline skater here. This one is a Hell yea .
