Great scenic trail for walking with the dogs. Large dog parks on the trail with fences.

Nature Walk Trail

This trail is very scenic and there is a lot of nature to take in! If you don’t mind snakes this is the perfect trail for you!
If you don’t bother the snakes they won’t bother you! Just watch your step!

Found these trails. One side of highway is flat. The other runs over some hills to Cumberland rd which runs to Faulkner park for more trails. Highly recommend

Love It!

September, 2019 by lacekelley1982

The trail is not quite 3 miles, one way. It's perfect for biking, walking, running, rollerblading, etc. They have a bathroom at one of the trailheads (Fairmont St Trailhead). Its awesomely shaded in a lot of areas and it's got gorgeous scenery. You will see deer along the trail sometimes and lightning bugs right as the sun is going down. I rollerblade and bike ride on this trail everyday and LOVE it. It's awesome that Longview has this. There are also 2 dog parks, both right off the Loop Entrance.

Cargill Long Park Trail

The trail is not well kept. I brought my street bike only to dodge holes in the asphalt and then 1 mile in have to turn around because of the gravel that is on the rest of the trail

Lanana Creek Trail

My favorite trail

Anytime I’m in nac, I like to go walking/running this trail. You can go all the way from the Hoya soccer fields to almost Kroger on university (one of the sfa buildings you can see Kroger from).

Cargill Long Park Trail

Different Worlds

November, 2016 by wrtrnhrt

I moved to Nacogdoches a few months back and started walking for exercise more recently. As a result I have been exploring the many trails that Nac offers. Lanana Creek Trail is an excellent trek however there are things to factor in if you are planning to walk/jog/bike it. It actually runs from the north end of town to the south end of town and you can walk the entire length. The entire Trail between Starr Ave. and Austin St. is bike/stroller (and any other wheeled transport) friendly. It is entirely paved with the exception of a short stretch between Tucker Woods and the SFA grounds. That too though is wheel friendly. South of Starr Ave. is a different story. While it is still an excellent hike, there are natural steps formed by tree roots and rocks and such that make it difficult if not nearly impossible for wheeled transports.

A Good Trail

October, 2016 by gzymmb1

We rode this trail from the Marshall Ave. trailhead north for about 2.5 miles. It goes through the woods and every now and again you come across a park or another trailhead. It's a nice trail that is easy to ride and has many things to look at along the way.

Best short trail

One of the best trails we have rode on. Trail is short and has one major road crossing.
