I liked that there was free parking at the trail head. It’s right before the paid entry point for Lake Mead Rex area. Get there early to get a spot this is a very busy trail. It was flat and well maintained. It was fun walking through historic railroad tunnels. They are currently working on them now. There was plenty of benches provided to sit and rest, enjoy a snack or enjoy the view of Lake Mead.
Read the other reviews they are accurate. This is an older part of Vegas and there's no need to do this trail unless you are looking to sleep on the concrete.
Super fun bike and pedestrian trail. The path is much wider than most. Almost 1900 elevation if you ride the entire trail out and back. Was windy at times but an excellent challenge.
Super fun short ride with an amazing ground would recommend!
Nice short ride quiet peaceful friendly neighborhood , friendly . Lights up at night!
kudos to Henderson, the trail was clean, well marked, and just tough enough for a workout on my bike.
This is a great trail to take in both urban and suburban aspects of Las Vegas.
This is a great bicycle route. Runs along the 215 and crosses very few streets without bridges. Would give 5 stars if there was better parking at the beginning of route.
I rode from Vegas via the Wetlands paths & trail connectors to River Mountain Loop. I started just after 6am & it was already mid 70’s. Once Getting to the trail head is was pretty smooth sailing. Definitely recommend doing trail clock wise if you looking for more of a scenic view. Bike path has great signage to keep you from getting lost. Definitely an early morning ride for the month of June! You don’t want to get stuck out without water. The path riding through Lake Mead are twisty and the decent can make for a technical down hill. (@ high speeds) Watch your speed around the turn as there is gravel that gets kicked up on the path from the winds. After Lake Mead you start the climb into Boulder City and it’s a gradually grade for miles and the bike path shares a storm drain. There is water but nothing crazy, Easily rideable. Not exactly sure on the elevation gain since I rode in from town but you definitely have some gains! Awesome trail to check out!
This trail is actually longer than 11.4 miles. It goes from W. Tropicana Ave. and CR 215 to Centennial Pkwy. Add about 5 miles.
A peaceful trail with natural desert plants along the way. A fun way to go from 215 up to Saint Rose rather than going along Eastern.
