Katy Trail (Dallas)

KT Trail is busy all of the time.

Despite dedicated walking/running sections that are more suited to running, everyone walks on the concrete sections making cycling more difficult.

Turtle Creek Trail

Beautiful but neglected in places

November, 2021 by jaleonard9

This is a beautiful trail, more suitable for running and walking than biking. Extremely neglected in areas, with fallen trees literally on top of the trail. With the neighboring areas, I was very surprised. Also, there are some very isolated areas.

Trinity Strand Trail

Nice but forlorn

November, 2021 by jaleonard9

Great place for running, it’s too short for biking. It seems somewhat forgotten, but it has potential. Also, places saturated with slippery mud, so be careful.

Waxahachie Creek Hike & Bike Trail

Best All Around

October, 2021 by lonestarkat

Started at Lions Club on a Sunday, no traffic, easy to park! Lots of activity on trail, not for speed biking but still enough room for everyone. I agree with other review about trail markings. I wish all did a better job. The construction was still happening but we had a trail clearly marked to navigate through it. When you get to the cemetery keep going, the trail picks up on the other side. When you're coming from the big city park and you come to the basketball court and parking lot, turn, go over the bridge. New parking lot and pretty sidewalk art trail takes you across the street. Adventurous, a little curvy and lots of beauty!

Lake Mineral Wells State Trailway

Lost Potential

October, 2021 by srainwat

Could really be an awesome trail if it could just receive some maintenance. Trail is closed from 1195 to the Vietnam Museum. There are sections from Mineral Wells to the museum that are unridable to due debris such as broken bricks. After that it opens up and crossing 180 is really cool. There are many washouts with deep sand anywhere the trail is below grade. I rode from the Mineral Wells trailhead to the Northern end near Weatherford. Probably best ridden on an MYB or. Fat Bike. I rode a Gravel Bike on 700 x 38’s and althou FB I could transit the trail for the most part, some sections with very deep sand were a challenge.

Beautiful trail!

This is a wonderful trail for walking, scootering, biking, jogging etc. The views are beautiful and it feels safe and friendly.

A-train Rail Trail

The southern part of trail after lake crossing could do with better routing near the highland village and can get confusing due to lack of signage.

Coombs Creek Trail

It is good for running and walking, also some biking. However it ends in a golf field which is annoying as I would have prefer more access to the park itself. Looking forward to see it connected to trinity gloves park.

Glendale Park Trail

Beautiful park with nice wide paths. Connected to Runyon Park Trail for an even longer, more challenging ride/walk. Wonderful bridges over running creek with an occasional waterfall and schools of fish. Some challenging hills and corners with mixed shade and sunshine. Super fun, rewarding bike ride. Don't think we saw the complete trail. Will go back again and explore.

Campion Trail

Yea! Another great trail!

September, 2021 by kshvgvqj2p

My primary trail is to date the White Rock Creek and Lake trails which can add up to 17 plus miles especially if you add the Katy Trail leg. Wonderful to find another 13 miles plus trail with multiple trailheads to challenge or limit my ride depending on time or energy level. Well maintained, multiple scenic views, elevations! Walkers, runners, bikers, picnic, and sport teams along the way on this day. Room for all!

Lake Mineral Wells State Trailway

Needs some work

September, 2021 by lsimon12

Started our ride in the State Park, and as warned, the first half mile to the trail was treacherous. Several switchbacks, washouts and rocks made a difficult ride. Once on the trail things were better and well maintained except for a few low hanging trees. I wish I could say the same about the trail in the city of Mineral Wells. We started at the trailhead and rode through the town around many low hanging trees, cracks in the asphalt, and freshly mowed grass that should be baled. When leaving the asphalt we hit the section of trail with large rocks making for a very rough ride, so much so we packed it in and left the area.
