The Badger Hills Bike Path is a suburban sidepath trail that travels along the side of 41st Street and Badger Hills Drive in northern Rochester. While not much to look at, this asphalt pathway provides a key east-west connection in the area trail network, linking similar sidepaths along West Frontage Road and 50th Avenue with the Douglas State Trail, one of the area's most popular recreation paths.
Due to the roadside nature of the path, trail users should be prepared for fairly frequent road crossings. The eastern half of the path has a more suburban feel, with large shopping complexes and the massive IBM campus to the south, while the western half moves into a still-developing part of Rochester, with rolling hills and planned neighborhoods rising up.
Trail users can park at the nearby trailhead for the Douglas State Trail, located off of Valleyhigh Road just east of W Circle Drive. To reach the Badger Hills Bike Path, proceed north on the trail and take the first spur on the right in about a half-mile.
