The Cumberland Gap Greenway is a rail-trail that runs along an old railway between the town of Cumberland Gap through the woods to the city of Harrogate. This 1.3 mile paved multi-use path winds through Cumberland Gap and passes by residence buildings for Lincoln Memorial University, the Kaitlyn DeVries Memorial Dog Park (305 Roslyn Ave), and crosses over two streets via covered bridge.
Perhaps most exciting is that the trail passes through an underground tunnel that was used by trains when the railway was active. The tunnel still has the original brick and motion activated lighting. In Harrogate, the trail ends by crossing over Cumberland Gap Pkwy (US25 E) via a pedestrian bridge and connecting with the Harrogate Walking/Biking Trail.
In Cumberland Gap, there is a parking lot at the west end of Pennlyn Ave that has accessible parking spaces.
