East 55th Street Path Description

The East 55th Street Path is an asphalt sidepath that runs along the side of 55th Street through a suburban stretch of northern Rochester, providing a key connection in the area's bike and pedestrian trail network. The trail picks up where the Zumbro North Trail ends near Essex Park, and heads west to join up with a series of additional paths, which trail users can utilize to reach the popular Douglas State Trail. Due to its roadside nature, the trail requires a number of road crossings, so be sure to exercise caution and obey traffic signals.

Parking and Trail Access

Parking is available in Essex Park, accessible off of 55th Street NW heading eastbound, just east of Kings Run Drive NW.
