One of Rochester's many suburban sidepath trails, the Overland Drive Trail runs along a roadside near the northern limits of the city. Passing over rolling hills and through the edges of residential developments, the path runs along both sides of the road for the bulk of its length; smooth and relatively free of obstacles, the path is an ideal option for running, walking, or quick bike rides. The end of the Bandel Road Path intersects the trail from the south, just a short distance from the western of the trail on the other side of the highway overpass; the connection allows you to form nearly a complete loop around the area via the system of paved, multi-use sidepaths.
A small public parking lot is available near the trail at Schmidt Park, located at 6222 24th Avenue NW. From the park, head north on the sidewalks along Granite Drive until you reach Overland Drive and the trail.
