Love it but wish it was a dirt trail like before and could be extended as it’s short. Just the same, once can always go to the Wetlands from there.
Paved, clean, fairly shady and easy to ride. Only problem is that one has to stop at every block due to traffic going west to East or visa-versa. Also, it’s way too short and wish the City of Lawrence would invest some of their money on extending the trail to go West to Clinton Lake. We need more dedicated trails for bikes in Lawrence without traffic.
This trail has been extended 1.7 miles south from end of trail shownon the map. The entire trail is a great ride.
This is a nice trail for a longer ride between communities in Johnson County with spurs to destinations like Shawnee Mission Park, Mid-America Sports Complex, and the growing Lenexa City Center. There are a few steeper grades, but overall a good ride with family and friends.
An easy ride near my neighborhood. I enjoy waking up on a Saturday morning to ride this trail to the Merriam Marketplace for the weekly farmer's market. Local municipalities are exploring opportunities to connect to this trail via other on-street and off-street facilities.
Do not ride this trail shortly after rain, it's like riding through wet sand. It's also pretty bumpy at points. It does have some cool scenery though; I may ride it again when it's dry.
Trail is at this point is unsafe. I’ve been told by mayor wier that trail will be paved soon and cleaned up
This section is now paved with concrete. Nice smooth ride with a few road crossings.
The trail continues a little more than a mile further north than shown. It's easy to see if you go to satellite view on the map.
Did a 25 mile out and back east of Council Grove. Overall good condition with a little loose stone. Quiet ride with beautiful views of the working and natural landscape.
While this trail may not be remarkable in any particular way it was fairly well maintained, nice rolling hills, shaded much of the way by the tree canopy, and perfect for a morning run. While it was not outstanding in any particular way it was free of litter, safe, and a great location on my morning commute for a work out. I gave it 3 stars initially but updated it to 4.
