Campion Trail

Much longer than shown on south trail. Northern trail is also now open.

May, 2017 by turbogeek_tl

The North end of the trail in Irving is now repaired from flood damage, The South trail extends to Verizon theater and the race track. Look at Google maps with the bike trail overlay. It is pretty accurate. The only issue on the South trail is that there are broken sewage mains that make for a disgusting couple of miles.

Northaven Trail

Beautiful Trails

March, 2017 by krinst71

I lived in Arlington, near the park, for several years. I would ride the trails every day on my bike. When I moved I would still return as often as I could. It's a very peaceful, beautiful set of trails.

Campion Trail

Find another trail

February, 2017 by rchleb

Unless you like running/biking directly under power lines, and past major highways, industrial truck yards, and the occasional horse, find another trail. The southern section is close to the Grand Prairie landfill so on a windy day you can't even get out of your car, the smell is awful.

Northaven Trail

Expansive views and wildlife-

August, 2016 by dannordmann

This trail has expansive views relative to a trail like the Katy Trail which is mostly surrounded by bamboo.

Northhaven Trail is great for walks or jogs. There is a wildflower program that keeps the mowers away and allows for several lots of thick wildflower growth.

For joggging I recommend getting out on the trail super early to avoid a traffic hiccup at Hillcrest. Usually before 7am that intersection is pretty quiet.

There is a nice amount of wildlife along the trail. On a full circuit trek in the early morning I will see at least 50 bunnies. And, where there are bunnies there are owls. I have heard on few occasions the distinct hoot of an owl. I've seen foxes and turtles as well.

This is my neighborhood trail and I really enjoy what it has to offer.

It makes a huge loop under the bridges close to downtown Dallas. After that it really has no place to go. Amazing views. However it has a great future when it connects to the Santa Fe trails. Right now you will have it virtually to yourself!

Campion Trail

Excellent trail

August, 2016 by zohaibsalim

I rode this trail recently and I loved it, the water has cleared up and there are no snakes(at least none that I saw). The off-road trails are still closed but the paved trail is open and very smooth for the most part; you might to be a little careful when it goes through the trees since there are a lot of twigs/acorns lying around. Other than it is fantastic!
