Island Line Trail

Great trail for scenic Lake Champlain Views

September, 2024 by qq4x7jfzqk

Rented bikes at Local Motion in Burlington and road the 10 mile trail out onto the Colchester causeway,a path out into the lake. Really nice path, mostly flat, and several places along the route for rest stops and fitness stops along the path to add exercises to your bike or walk.

Island Line Trail

beautiful ride

August, 2024 by daniellefort

We started at the south end and went up to the ferry and turned around there. From what I could see on maps, there wasn’t much on the other side. We went on a warm day in the 80’s which was a good thing because there was quite a breeze over the causeway. I could see it being a bit chilly on a cooler day. It was busy for a Tuesday. Can’t imagine how busy a weekend could be. We encountered a lot of walkers along with bikers. Definitely highly recommend. There was a little beach bar we stopped at after we saw the sign on the pathway. Nice little beach, drinks and food was just ok.

Stowe Recreation Path

nicely paved

August, 2024 by daniellefort

Lots of bridges to cross, plenty of benches to stop and take a break more at the west end. Wish it was longer but still a very nice ride.

Presidential Rail Trail

scenic, trees and smooth

August, 2024 by daniellefort

Started from the Gorham parking lot. This was my first e-bike ride on a rental. Heart health issues so I couldn’t ride a regular bike. Rode all the way across to Rt 115 and maybe 1/2 mile after we crossed the highway. I really enjoyed the trail up until hwy 115 where it got to a single lane and overgrown brush. By this point I was getting tired and we turned around. This was about 16 miles from start in Gorham. It was very scenic going past the marsh ponds and through the woods.

Island Line Trail

Great Ride

July, 2024 by norsteinberg

When riding out of the City of Burlington, Lake Champlain on your left with spectacular views of the Lake. Flat, easy ride, tree covered most of the trip till the Causeway. 7 miles from downtown. Causeway very unique. Wide enough for two bikes 3 miles into Lake Champlain then stops with a break in the causeway. Breathtaking views along the way !!! Can take a ferry to the north part of the causeway and can continue on. A total of 10 miles going out until the causeway break. Afterwards can celebrate with great food, drink and ice cream in downtown Burlington !!

Island Line Trail

Stunning

July, 2024 by teamvolin

The whole trail is scenic. It's fairly flat and easy to ride. The section out to the causeway is absolutely stunning and it's a treat to hop on the bike ferry.

Ti-Haul Trail & Shelburne Bay Park Rec Path

Short Gravel ride with lots of pedestrians

July, 2024 by bkfgyhj8z7

If you want a quick jaunt through the woods on a gravel path this ride might be for you. Just a heads up that you will probably encounter a lot of pedestrians and dogs off of leashes. Ride accordingly. The best part of this trail for me was a quick stop where it meets the lakeshore. Not a bad ride overall but on the shorter side

Lamoille Valley Rail Trail

Outstanding bike trail

June, 2024 by pyattjm

We rode from Oxbow Riverfront Park (plenty of parking, bathroom) in Morrisville to Cambridge Junction. Round trip about 34 miles. The surface was perfect for our dual sport bikes. Compact smooth gravel. Lost Nation brewery is on the path about a mile from Oxbow. Nice place to have a beer after.

Stowe Recreation Path

Fun trail!!!

June, 2024 by brhy7px2cf

We visited this trail while in vacation in Vermont. It was a nice 5+mile trail out and back ~10.85 miles. It had 10 bridges and lots of S curves which made it fun! We were there on a Tuesday 6/2024 so not a ton of people but enough to have to keep a look out. We would definitely tell others about this trail.
