Good trail to ride shaded and lots of nature this trail is gravel. We will definitely do this one again
We went on a weekday and there were not many people on the trail which made it very pleasant and enjoyable. The trail is very well maintained with flat surfaces. This is a wonderful scenic trail with a few bridges over running creeks, plenty of tree lined portions and a wildlife center along the way. We parked at the Harpeth Valley Golf course and started from there as the soccer field parking lot was closed that day. Lovely experience for all ages and levels.
All of us are wondering why the City is taking so very long to open the Board Walk Section. People are climbing the fence and using it now. I called and Metro said it is unsafe, yet they have abandoned working on it for us all to use. They finished the Clover Bottom area to the TSB, but they are not working at all on the Board Walk. All of us are truly saddened that Metro is just to busy to handle the work over here for us.
Construction still in progress so cannot ride complete from one trail head. Overall though was a beautiful, well maintained greenway.
The north end has a historic b&b. Elkmont in 1/2 way with nice places and a nice side ride through pre civil war houses. Packed gravel. Could use some smoothing but we did 21 mile out and back on ebikes with no problem. All shady
Rode to the north trailhead and just south to i24 where the trail is now under construction. Nice amount of traffic and we even saw some wild turkeys. Would come again if ever I pass through Murfreesboro again.
Markings for trail not there. We just looped the park. More signs are needed.
This trail is listed as good for in-line skating, but a large section of the trail is very rough / old pavement, and much of the rest of it has long hills and sharp turns.
Rougher on the Elkmont to Tn line but still nice. The other side was really good with slight elevation.
Fun paved pave along the Stones River thru Civil war battle sites. Ride thru shaded canopies, under bridges over bridges, winding thru field. Deer jumping across the trails. Bunny rabbits hopping around in the fields. Great ride at sunset to dark. Enjoy!
Took the opportunity to ride this trail and glad I did. This greenway is wide, shady with lots of nice scenery. I looped it end to end with the connecting trail for a 25 mile ride. It is now on my list of favorites in the Middle Tennessee area.
