good for walking, great for biking.
This trail is very scenic as we biked north from the Ozaukee trail. We immediately could tell the difference as this trail had a more wooded or nature feel. We stopped and turned back at the trail’s end just short of Oostburg rather than following the quiet roads the short distance into the village. We wish the trail continued further into Sheboygan County without the reliance on county highways. It’s a great start!
Love this trail. Not difficult. Lots of places to stop and enjoy the peace and quiet.
The trail passes beautiful woods, swampy areas, and farmland. The trail is extremely smooth and my road bike went over it just fine. The trail is almost as wide as a road lane in many areas, and it's barely populated, making it perfect for biking with kids. Lots of black raspberries along the trail this time of year. The bridge about 2.5 miles out from Denmark is gorgeous and much higher up than I expected! The kids loved it!
Nice ride from sheboygan to Greenbush it is a little bumpy but I don't think there are many traits that are without these problems. Lots of hill's and curves
Took my first ride on this trail from Birnamwood to Eland where it crosses the Mountain Bay trail. Great ride and despite recent heavy rains it was dry and firm. Will take this trail further as time permits.
Used just two days ago and found very disappointing. I started at the trailhead on Lakeview Drive in Howard. Great ride on crushed limestone until I was 3.5 miles in. The limestone disappeared and I was biking on a swampy, thick, muddy “trail.” About .5 miles later I was back on crushed limestone, but it wasn’t long before I found myself in mud, again. I recall having this problem last summer, but not nearly as bad. Poorly maintained. Hope they add more limestone soon.
Smooth ride, great views, but LOTS of traffic noise. A highway runs next to the trail and was very distracting.
The trail is a fun ride from Wausau to Green Bay. There are some scenic views and it is a very easy ride. We did this as a one day pilgrimage to our temple (Lambrusco Field). It is interesting how differently the three counties maintain their sections of the trail. Marathon and Brown do a very nice job, but the stretch through Shawano county is riddled with poor conditions at times. However, even at its worst it is still a fun ride.
My boyfriend and I have taken up parts of the trail and walked them. Winter and summer. Love the beauty of the trail. Just completed a 32 mile bike ride using the trail from neenah to hortonville.
Rode part of this trail today (just a beginner here) and absolutely LOVE it! Started in Rosendale. So much wildlife, flowers and just amazing trees. Will be riding many more times in the future!
Love this trail as it is close by... some big ruts need fixing and horse riders need to clean up after themselves. Otherwise... love it!!
