I ride this trail sometimes several days a week. It is really nice on weekdays. Its can busy at certain times but never too crowded. Watch your speed on blind corners as other riders and walkers/runners may come up quick.

The Tomorrow River turned out to be a nice pick for my 2-day fall ride on a typical Wisconsin state rail-to-trail. I broke up my trip at the Scandinavia trail head; going east the first day to Manawa and back was 28 miles, going west the next day to Plover and back was 40 miles. The nearby town of Waupaca was a great overnight base-the local Irish pub was perfect.
The tail has easy grades up and down as the trail travels thru old railroad cuts and fills. You get to see forested areas, pasture land and crop land. There are still a lot of old wooden barns along the way some still in use while others are no longer serving the agriculture economy. The gravel-surfaced trail is in good shape. Signage for the road detour at Amherst Junction is not perfect but the route can be easily determined. One should stop at the Twin Towers Drive trail head in Plover and not travel the uninteresting 1.5 mile stretch to the trails end at Hoover Ave South unless one is going on to follow the long connecter to the Green Circle Trail in Stevens Point. One negative is the trail heads do not have water or any toilets
Walked 2 miles in from the Weston trailhead. Trail in excellent shape. This section of the trail runs parallel to a very busy, noisy road on one side and the backyards of homes on the other. If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful walk in the woods this is not it. If you don’t mind the noise and walking closely past houses and businesses it might work for you. Giving at least two stars for the great trail condition; however, this section of the trail was not what I personally had hoped it would be.
These comments apply to the trail between Green Bay and Eland. The trail between Green Bay and Pulaski is in good shape, between Pulaski and Zachow there are numerous soft spots. There was was one spot east of Zachow where a road bike rider can expect to walk. Particularly from Pulaski west trees and brush have grown up on both sides of the trail so that for much of the ride it's like riding in a green tunnel and one really can't see the country side. In general the Shawano County portion of the trail needs attention although the trail through the city of Shawano is paved. Along the trail the bridges are in good shape, i. e. no protruding nails, no down trees blocking the trail, and all the road crossings had warning signs. If riding west to east be advised that the trail direction sign at Maple Ave. west of Shawano points in the wrong direction; be sure to turn left, not right. On the Saturday I rode there were a number of riders for about the five miles west of Green Bay but between there and Eland I saw a total of six riders.
These comments refer to the northern portion of the trail from Birnamwood to Eland. The trail is in good shape except for a few soft sports but should be easily negotiable by bikes with 32 mm tires. The trail doesn't appear to be heavily used. I met no other riders. Looking at Google Earth it would appear that the trail could be extended on the abandoned rail line the approximately 17 miles to Antigo. A possible project for Rail-to-Trails Conservancy?

Along side the water, beautiful scenery, and Packers landmarks. Flat, asphalt trail through Green Bay and south. Went under bridges, through the woods, past Vince Lombardi's house, and Curly Lambeau's grave. Nice
trail. No bathroom, though.
Struggled to find trail in Menasha. The trestle bridge is nice, really nice. But both sides of the bridge, not so nice. Won't do it again.
Very good rail trail, with slight grades on most of it. We went from Amherst to Scandinavia (8.5 mi one way) and back with an hour break at the ScandiHus coffee/gift shop in about 3.5 hrs. Good ride if you aren't in good shape,as not hard but gentle grade gives you some workout
My wife and I enjoyed the Devil's River State Trail this afternoon. We encountered a fair amount of rain, and this made the wet gravel a bit more difficult. So we were tired by the time we finished. Our bike computers said we did 29.75 miles for the round trip, though officially the trail is shorter than that.
We were initially surprised to discover that downtown Denmark had a festival going on, so it was busy. But parking was still available at the trailhead. I was impressed; it is a nice park for the trailhead.
We liked that trail mileage markers were posted every quarter mile.
One thing though. Heading south from Denmark all trail markers say XX.XX miles to Rockwood. We were sort of expecting something interesting at the Rockwood trailhead, but there were no services and no signs. You just get there, take a water break and snack, and turn around. My advice would be to start this trail in Denmark and do as much as you have energy for, but don't force yourself to go to the very end.
The whole trail is beautiful, but I sort of think the nicest parts are in the northern section.
Drove a longer distance to Shawano to ride a different portion of trail and was very disappointed. Unlike the section from Weston to Bowler, which is better condition, east of Shawano for at least 10 miles is in poor condition and has unfortunately been forgotten. Very little crushed limestone just grass and dirt which doesn't dry out very well, its like riding in a grassy yard. A couple of minor farmland drainage problems have ruined the trail and left several inches of mud on it. This section seems to have extremely poor priority in terms of maintenance, as long as its passable for snowmobiles in the winter it is good enough for the state of Wisconsin.
