Spring Creek Greenway

We routinely ride I-59 to just past I-45 and back. 33 miles rolling terrain with great views of the river. Careful on the weekends as there can be a lot of people and some are clueless to trail etiquette.

Spring Creek Greenway

A treasure!

March, 2025 by dpate

What a wonderful trail! I rode the Spring Creek Greenway in mid March on perfect 75 degree sunny day. The trail is curvy with gentle hills and totally wooded and shaded. You couldn't ask for a better trail, it's wide, smooth, and scenic. On the Trail Link map it shows a disconnect but when I rode it the entire trail was paved with no gaps. I don't think 5 stars is sufficient!

Spring Creek Greenway

Beautiful and Shady

September, 2024 by 8db9s65kxc

Rode about 8 miles of the trail near the west end. It more than lived up to my expectations from reviews and youtube vids. Easy to access from our hotel at the Marriott Courtyard. Way better than any trail we have back home in Wichita.

West White Oak Bayou Trail

Epic FAIL

September, 2024 by eric.maddock

9/6/24 Tried trail starting at Clark Henry Park and got about 4 miles in down and the bayou trial is washed out and construction blocks any possible way through. Rode back to the Clark Henry park and drove to park across the street from 6999 Alabonson Rd. Got 1.5 miles into ride and after several sections of trail was missing, the entire trail was missing for a longer stretch than I could see. It rained last night and the trail was muddy and impossible to ride. Had to walk some of the way back because of the mud.

George Bush Park Hike and Bike Trail

fine for getting miles in

Not much to look at if that is your thing.

Spring Creek Greenway

Started at the trail head off 69 and went as far construction and returned. A good 30+ miles. Surface was smooth and not too much elevation. A really nice ride through the woods with nice views of the river.

While biking near the spillway, saw a Limpkin with White Ibises. Nice area. Wish it connected to George Bush Park trails.

Map needs to be updated with the additional trail completion

The trail now extends to Jersey Village. There are still a few short sections that have not been completed.

Greens Bayou Greenway

Unsafe connection from east side to west side

September, 2023 by mtiscornia54

There is an east side of 45 section and a west side of 45. Unfortunately, there is no safe connection between the two sections. You need to ride the 45 access roads on each side, both busy and no bike lanes or sidewalks. Not recommended. And I did not traverse 12 miles of trails. Disappointed. There is potential.

Spring Creek Greenway

construction

The trail is closed at Pundt Park with construction cones. Was able to park at Dennis Johnston park and ride west. But miss the long ride to Humble.
