Colorado Riverfront Trail

concrete (mostly) trail

September, 2023 by bethredeker1

This trail is really really nice. The concrete is wonderful. There is a small section of blacktop but is in the world to be replaced with concrete. The trail can be a little confusing but once you get the hang of it, it is easy to follow. Beautiful views along the entire trail. Most people follow the simple rules to make it nice for everyone to enjoy.

No electric bikes ¿

September, 2022 by ronda.gilbert52

Sad to hear that electric bikes are not allowed on this trail. I am 65 and can no longer ride a regular bike. I am able to continue enjoying cycling with the use of an electric bike. I thought that all Utah trails were open to senior cyclists on all types of bikes. So disappointed!

Colorado Riverfront Trail

Great Trail

June, 2022 by b0ssc0

I rode most of this trail last week, Grand Junction to Fruita and back. It's a beautiful bike path. There is one section that is asphalt and a bit rough, but the scenery really makes up for it!

Colorado Riverfront Trail

more than 22 miles

April, 2022 by stahly94

My nephew and I just finished this trail April 7th, 2022. We started in Palisade and finished in Loma and we connected the trailheads by riding on the roads and ditch banks. It was altogether 32 miles. Great ride! Wish they would connect the whole thing because that would be awesome.

Mill Creek Parkway

Lovely bike path

March, 2021 by faerthen

Great for getting around town, or as a destination in itself. There are now road signs to help you find your way.

The new bike park is now finished and accessible from the path. Midway, you’ll cross Main Street (UT-191), and can detour for coffee, lunch or ice cream.

At the end of the path on 100 w., you can pedal quiet city roads to access other town recreation sites, like the BMX park and Slack line park on 500 w., or the City Park and swimming pool complex on 100 w.

From the other end of the path at Rotary Park, it’s a short ride up to Sand Flats and the Slickrock Trail.

Stunning Views and Smooth Riding

June, 2020 by jacmar1

Recently visited Moab and parked at Lions Park to enjoy the Canyon Parkway. We headed east initially and road to the end which is approximately 4 miles. All along the Colorado River with the bright orange canyon cliffs towering on both sides.Must have ridden this section half a dozen times as the changing light continually provided different effects depending on the time of day we rode.Did cross the Colorado River bridge and rode on to The Arches but the park was not yet open because of Corona issues. Not a long ride but the scenery and well maintained trail surface are tough to beat. They working on the trail to town from Lions Park but not completed at this time!

Colorado Riverfront Trail

Nice Improvements Recently Made

June, 2020 by acewickwire

Started in Fruita and turned around at Eagle Rim Park. A number of repairs and improvements have been completed since my last ride over that route. A section of the trail had been washed away by the river some time ago...that portion has new bank installed and new trail surface put in. The trail used to exit on to a residential street at Riverside Park, the park has been enlarged and what used to be a street is now a nicely done bike path through the park. In the Las Colonias park area huge improvements have been made, making this a very nice "water" park area along the river.
I also very much enjoy the "new" section of trail from Fruita to Loma. It is ridden much more frequently being closer to home. Check it out also.
