Riverwalk Greenway

Bikes allowed on western portion

July, 2020 by alois_tl

We ride this trail on our bikes weekly. It’s true the eastern portion is closed to bikes, but there is about 2.5 miles open for very nice biking. It’s best to start at Gold Park in West Hillsborough. This trail can be busy at times, but it is shaded most of the way with great views of the Eno River.

Crabtree Creek Trail

Very unsatisfying with all the closures

July, 2020 by yayi_1977

We were trying to make all the trail, very disappointed. A lot of closures areas, thank you for the sewer construction. We had to take Atlantic Ave with a lot of traffic.

Meadowmont Greenway

Neuse River Trail

Nice, tame trail; watch for signage

June, 2020 by strategy

I did a wonderful 20 miles on the trail today. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It rolls slightly and crosses the river a couple of times, giving some nice vistas. People were friendly and respectful. My single complaint is that the signage could be better. There are places where multiple trails cross and there are posts with signs the size of index cards to tell you which turn off is which. I had to stop three times (I'm not a native) to make sure I was going in the proper direction.

Riverwalk Greenway

PEDESTRIAN ONLY

June, 2020 by jackritterskamp

This is a nice trail, the river walk end is CLEARLY and PROMINENTLY marked as no bikes allowed. Much of the speedway end of the trail was difficult to bike (we only saw signs later after being told to look). Sadly it's the only trail in this part of the state.

Beautiful boardwalks and even a wetlands area with beavers, buzzards, and tons of turtles. Connects with the ATT.

Enjoyed the quick down and back on this clean trail with pretty views.

Swift Creek Greenway

Nice and Easy

May, 2020 by misrache

This is an easy trail to ride, though it is sandwiched between two inclines, so little ones will need help. Very shaded and natural.
