Bosque River Trail

small town ride

April, 2026 by c4prvb5zvn

Slow meandering trail trying to follow the river, is worth the ride. Concrete is nice but why not longer. The walkers might get their fill @ 5+ miles, but bicyclists are left wanting more.

Trinity Trails

great trail

April, 2026 by tlsierra13

It was a great trail and well paved for biking or skating. We saw a snake so be careful but it was very beautiful. Can’t wait to see the rest of it.

Fish Creek Trail (TX)

Fish Creek for the win!

January, 2026 by hikingandbikingusa

This roughly 7 mile (end to end) trail winds through parks, neighborhoods, and along a nice greenway offering a good ride with little elevation. There is one intersection with vehicle traffic in Arlington, but the trail is safe, smooth (concrete), and busy with riders, walkers, and others out enjoying the trail.

Cotton Belt Trail

Rode this trail on Christmas day. It's a great trail but I can imagine all of the intersections might be sketchy during high traffic times. Other than that it's an awesome trail.

Lake Mineral Wells State Trailway

trail walk/bike ride

September, 2025 by mesurfin2000

Great trail..Brisk walk 6 days per week and squeeze in a bike ride here and there.. on 9/23/2025 at dusk west bound on the trail headed back to our vehicle quarter mile from the Garner parking lot wife heard something in the bush for several minutes. mentioned it to me, i stopped, turned and looked to the south of the trail and there it was.. The big Cat stopped looked at us and turned jumped and ran.. Pretty dense brush but we saw him/her clear as day... I was shocked to say the least... I would expect to see bobcat, but not this big girl.. We walk fast, wife behind me, was stalking and or checking her out.. Kinda Scary...

Honestly a great trail, good scenery, a lot of wild life and few rest spots along the way. Rode really well with a recumbent bike would highly recommend this trail!

Cotton Belt Trail

Great trail, some crossings are a bit sketchy. Over all a great ride for a recumbent bike great places to stop get water and restrooms along the way. Once you reach grape vine from cambridge or iron horse trail head there are great places to eat.

Lake Mineral Wells State Trailway

Very Rough Surface Lots of Sand

April, 2025 by bikeman110

Rode on a trekking bike -- many sections very rough or had deep sand. Not a casual easy ride at all. Needs to be smoothed with a firmers more regular surface like cinder or paved. Very quiet and scenic though a lot of potential

Village Creek Trail

Ride approx 23 miles if you want! ¿

February, 2025 by gbmarlin

This 5 mile section of trail runs along a busy road, and is in the sun, BUT I’m so glad it’s there because Village Creek blends into River Legacy Park trail system, giving you approx 25 miles round trip! It’s a wide concrete trail about 5 ft from the road in most areas. (I feel safe riding here.) That being said, this trail system will be even longer once they open the new section of trail! The plan is to connect trails between Fort Worth and Dallas. I understand that new system will be called Discovery Trail which will be over 100 miles!

Lake Mineral Wells State Trailway

Trail still closed east of Hwy 1195.

August, 2024 by harhir

Rode part of the trail on 08/03/24. Trail is still closed east of Hwy 1195. According to other reviews it has been closed for at least a year. And maintenance on the open stretch west of Hwy 1195 does not seem to not exist. So right now I cannot recommend riding the trail.
