Great for dogs!

July, 2021 by chanteevans7

We took our 3 dogs on a walk here and it was great! The bikers were super friendly and so were the other pedestrians. My dogs really enjoyed the creek too!

Southern Platte Pass is a great trail. It is well maintained. It links me to Parkville and Line Creek Trail. This trail links me to the Greenway.

Little Blue Trace Trail

One of the Best

June, 2021 by jmclincoln

The Little Blue Trace is a beautiful, well groomed trail. It is a county park, and the county parks and rec should be very proud. There are a few rough patches of the asphalted section near the northern trailhead on Blue Mill road. There’s an awkward zigzag over the railroad track. However, we had no road crossings. The trail went around and under all roads. How nice! We road round trip starting at the northern trailhead.

Little Blue Trace Trail

Best in Kansas City

June, 2021 by kimhawkins1972

My husband and I rode 30 miles on 6/4/21. We live in St Joseph and really enjoy riding on our lovely parkway system. However, this was bar none a wonderful mix of an urban paved bike path vibe, to outright gorgeous views on a meandering crushed gravel trail into what felt like a scene from little house on the prairie. It was well maintained, marked well and so enjoyable, we plan to come back

Kill Creek Streamway Trail

My go to trail

May, 2021 by ddcook

Beautiful in all seasons. Well maintained trail with conscientious/experienced cyclists, hikers and dog walkers. A hidden gem. I worry that this will change once the word gets out.

Longview Lake Trail (MO)

Nice scenery, but be wary

May, 2021 by ddcook

This trail features some nice scenery. However, the gravel on this trail can be a little treacherous in my opinion. I was riding 35c Panaracer Gravelking tires, intended for gravel, and I had to keep my speed under 10 mph. I felt that speeds above that were not safe.

Tomahawk Creek Trail

nice ride

Didn’t take the fork going towards blue valley north high school, but trail is pretty and winds along the creek and a golf course. Great ride

Little Blue Trace Trail

Beautiful, but not for road bikes

May, 2021 by mundobonito1

I was visiting family and rode this trail today for the first time and thought it was beautiful. It winds alongside the Little Blue River and the scenery is lovely. The trail itself is well maintained and seems safe. The only problem is that it is definitely not for a road bike, which I have. The trail goes from concrete to crushed stone to concrete to gravel. You come across patches of concrete and think, great, then it goes right onto crushed stone and continues that pattern throughout . I started at the Phelps road trailhead which has ample parking and a port-a-potty and rode north/east (which is really the only direction you can go since if you go the other direction, the trail ends in about a quarter of a mile). Most of this portion of the trail is concrete/crushed stone until you get north of Menards. It then turns into fairly coarse gravel and I had to turn around. I was disappointed as I really wanted to continue since it was so pretty. If you have a hybrid or mountain bike, you will love it. Maybe in the future they will make it more road bike friendly!

Flint Hills Trail State Park

ride from Council Grove

April, 2021 by jdfcsc

Took a break from crossing Kansas to ride a portion of Flint Hills trail. I road east for about 12 miles, then back. A good ride despite rather blustery weather on Apr. 21, 2021.

Little Blue Trace Trail

short but sweet

April, 2021 by spaz4444

Five star trail, but 3 star for inlines because it turns to gravel on both ends, pretty quickly. Had a good time though!

SMP Paved Trail

Nature Filled

March, 2021 by lesnord 1023

Smooth, wide trail for walkers and bikers. Weaves through forest and open fields. Some hills. Beautiful fields of flowers in summer and fall. Can be busy at peak times
