Burke Lake Loop Trail

My first gravel trail

August, 2020 by mojo-joann

Loved the trees. The lake is soo beautiful. It’s a shared trail and at times is quite busy. Everyone listens and will move to their right. It’s not very hilly, great for a beginner. I loved it, so I did 2 loops!

Unfinished Railroad Loop Trail

nice trail

It’s kind of 2-3 mile if you want to go beyond. In the time of Covid it’s nice gateway to go with kids. You can take bile as well. Not all the way but good mountain bike

Henson Creek Trail

upkeep needed

August, 2020 by jadeplusjeremy

This is a very nice creek-side trail, filled with potential for enjoying the creek itself. However it is in need of upkeep, from fallen trees, to filled trash cans, to a portion of the concrete trail being physically damages/broken. I will be reaching out to the county on this matter. Long live our trails!

Little Falls Trail (MD)

The north section is in a very nice neighborhood park, but the southern section steals the show. It is usually uncrowded and the views of the creek are stunning. This is my favorite trail section in MoCo so far.

Magruder Branch Trail

Loved the shade almost through the whole path! Quite a lot of elevation change, but really like it.

Metropolitan Branch Trail

nice ride

This trail is good for people who want an urban experience, especially on a weekend morning as the city slowly awakes. Lots of places to stop for food and drinks - even shopping - along the way.

Herring Run Trail

Herring Run. completed 8.1.2020

Trail needs some serious maintenance. Down trees blocking trail. Untended to vegetation that causes you to tuck, bob, and weave. Trail needs some serious maintenance before another review is possible.

Burke Lake Loop Trail

so beautiful!!!

Not hard to do, difficult enough to present a challenge for a beginner, super enjoyable, big trees guarding the entire loop and fantastic lake views

Heritage Rail Trail County Park

All riders will enjoy this trail!

July, 2020 by tedreese_tl

Definitely recommend picking up the trail south of York College campus if you want to avoid vehicular traffic. Experienced riders will enjoy the changing scenery and a high quality trail that allows plenty of room to safely pass slower riders/pedestrians. New riders will appreciate the packed gravel and low- to no-grade. Trail heads and crossings are well-maintained. Found plenty of parking in the morning at Seven Valleys trailhead. Brillhart parking fills quickly, but has porta-johns. Due to covid, restrooms are closed at Hanover Junction, but they have porta-johns in the lot.

Oxon Run Trail

This trail is really nice to run, walk, and bike. It has wide asphalt paths with a few quick hills.

Indian Creek Trail (MD)

It's very well preserved lots of green and a beautiful lake, it's a short trail and if you're on mood to run with steps there's some stairs near the trail.
