Bugline Trail

The Bugline is a sweet little trail NE of Milwaukee

July, 2020 by matthewge

Here a great R2T for those in SE Wisconsin! The Bugline Trail, just NW of Milwaukee. Oddly named, but a sweet trail. I started in Merton, rode to Menomonee Falls and back. 26 miles round trip, all paved. A great mix of woods, open areas, and some developed areas. There are several little towns along the trail (Merton, Sussex, Lannon, Menomonee Falls) where you can pick up snacks if needed.

As it passes thru Lannon, WI -- which provided the limestone that built much of Milwaukee -- you will see lots of quarry lakes, including one that is just shockingly blue!

If you are in the area, give it a try!

Mariners Trail

what a lovely trail!

July, 2020 by jilluvspugs

The southern start of the trail begins at maritime museum and submarine. We arrived just as the Manitowoc ferry, SS Badger did to dock. Then, wow passed by numerous meticulously cared-for gardens along the way. The view of lake was magnificent as the trail was right along side it. On this hot day everywhere else was in the 90s and the temp was refreshing near lake temperature. We have to go back and take it slower to enjoy the metal art and statues of Indians.

Wild Goose State Trail

underwhelming

June, 2020 by ucrubr

Road the entire trail from fox du lac to Juneau. Plus a side 3 or so miles at the Horicon. It was so much the same. Not much changed all the way. Few people on it so it was a bit boring. Not much to visit along the way and Juneau didn’t have much either. I didn’t hate it but I wouldn’t do it again. Lots of bumps and the trail was ok otherwise. Just meh.

Wild Goose State Trail

Ruts

June, 2020 by alanelle

There are a few deep ruts caused by equipment used to push over dead trees that need repairs. Some are difficult to see until you are on top of them.

Old Plank Road Trail (WI)

No shade, lots of hills

June, 2020 by kjberndt

Started in Greenbush and made it 9 miles before turning back. All asphalt, no shade, lots of hills between Greenbush and Plymouth.

Fox River State Trail

loved loved this trail!

June, 2020 by ucrubr

Put on almost 60 miles today on this trail start to finish. Tootled around the town of Green Bay for a while too. Love this trail! The paved part is fantastic, and the packed lime stone is great too! When you reach the paved portion your asked to leave $5 for the trail. Well worth it imho. Will return again. Really wasn’t crowded. Since it’s such a wide trail it’s easy to get around ppl.

Loop the Little Lake

beautiful view.

June, 2020 by ucrubr

I’ve ridden this trail several times now. It’s lovely. There are even bike fix spots along the way. When it’s crowded it’s hard to maneuver around kids running to both sides of the trail. Parents need to teach trail etiquette to them! It connects with the Friendship trail and the Wiouwash trail I enjoy all of these.

Bugline Trail

beautiful ride

EAsiest 20 miles we’ve ridden yet. All paved and beautiful. Stopped in Sussex and had lunch. One of our favorite trials

Kohler Memorial Drive Path

great trail for all ages

This trail has something for everyone. Long and slight terrain changes. Great for families with small kids who need some together time. All paved and maintained.

Mascoutin Valley State Trail

wonderful marshy grassland

April, 2020 by vanburenbud

I and a beautiful friend of mine got to ride this beautiful scenic ride from fond du lac to rose n dale and back today and we absolutely enjoyed the whole experience, a bit windy but a nice 2:30 hr ride at a leisurely pace. Happy trails to you all!

Oak Leaf Trail

I walked it all in 1 day.

February, 2020 by rockbrentwood

I've been on every part of the trail, hundreds and even thousands of times in some places, since it was called the 76 trail; and other nearby wild areas that were de facto part of the trail before officially being made so.

On one occasion, this included circumnavigating the county on foot in 1 day; through almost every municipality in the county, mostly on the trail, but briefly off and beyond it into Waukesha county.

Loop the Little Lake

Our trail....

February, 2020 by pzuiker

Loop The Little Lake is used so many ways by folks from Neenah-Menasha and beyond. Walkers, runners, singles, couples, groups young, older, bikers, relaxers, sitters, fishers, nature lovers, picture takers and folks just going from one place to another.
Beautiful scenery at any time of day...links to other trails.
The trail has already given happy memories and is appreciated by many because it is right in the center of our two communities.
We are grateful...
