This is my first review on TrailLink but we have ridden many trials. I had to leave this review because this trail is SOOOO special it deserves it. 6.8 miles each way and it has it all. Bridges, train trestles, some decent hills to get your heart pumping a little bit, beautifully paved, friendly people, shaded, etc. We enjoyed this trail so much we repeated again just to make sure we we saw all the surroundings. GO OUT OF YOUR WAY TO HIT THIS ONE!
This trail has lots of smaller “sub-trails” which are also pretty nice to walk on if you don’t want to walk the full 7 mile trail.
Took a bike ride from David Drive to the American Tobacco trail and back. This trail is narrower than what I am used to in Connecticut but on those trails many go to fast, this was a more relaxing ride. Found the trail to be well taken care of and few people using it. On the return where the trail goes under highway 55 they could use signs for which trail goes in each direction. Most other intersections are marked.
Very fun to take small kids. Took my 7 year old and he really enjoyed it
This trail was fun up and over highway! Busy with bikers, walkers and runners on Sunday morning we rode.
This trail rocks. Ample parking at both ends of the trail help kickoff any great adventure. Whatever wheels you bring will roll across this fluid surface of glass. Bountiful trees cover the trail a majority of the trip. Scenic vistas made way by boardwalk and bridges. Markers indicate how involved you are. A heed of caution on the descent from the Jordan Soccer Complex end for all you rollerbladers...it’s a bit steep for a couple hills.
Trail is currently closed at approximately the midpoint.
Great trail to run during the day! Well kept and has great entry/exit points with a lot of parking. It doesn’t have street lights so I wouldn’t run it at night!
Deep river was a great place to walk with your dog. Easy to find
This was our first trail ride in over 2 years and it was so much fun! Easy to get back into. We went from parking at the solite park up to the most northern point. A round trip of almost 14 miles and it was fantastic!
