Atlantic & Yadkin Greenway

This trail is beautiful and provides connection to multiple awesome trails that provide a more woodsy experience. Palmetto Trail is my personal favorite, but all are very nice! The trails off of this one provide varying challenge levels.

Deep River Rail Trail

nice trail with small climbs

September, 2020 by dwanderson1983

Much of this trail is flat but there are great small climbs around Faith Rock and plenty of beautiful scenes along the River among the way

Salem Lake Trail

Great trail

September, 2020 by ana.ramirez.gaspar

I ran and walked this trail twice, and it definitely packs in a good workout. I love that it’s mostly (90%) shades so it makes for a good workout during hot summer days. I also like that there’s a water fountain at the beginning of the trail (near the parking lot by the playground) and at the halfway mark.

Deep River Rail Trail

Very relaxing but steep entry for a bicycle

August, 2020 by cdmcdonald3

We just discovered this trail and had a very enjoyable morning riding our bicycles. Be careful with the entry though, there is a steep hill at the end of the access point and it’s hard to see because of the fence. Unfortunately I was not able to stop in time so I could walk my bicycle down and it was not a fun ride down. I’m pretty bruised up from it. We will definitely go again but walk our bicycles for the first bit from now on.

Salem Creek Greenway

Nice paved trail

August, 2020 by cawattleworth

Enjoyable 5 mile mostly flat trail along the creek that connects to the 7 mile Salem Lake unpaved (packed dirt/crushed gravel) trail around the lake. There are a couple of fairly steep, but short hills. Greenway trail is probably 60% shaded. Two spots not far from the Salem Lake end the trail goes through the creek, which isn’t a problem for bikers at normal water levels other than possible wet feet. A bridge would be nice. My biggest criticism, however, is the South Main street area. I guess the road bridge was too low to permit the trail to go under, so you wind up, around, over and around again to get back on the trail on other side of S Main. Biggest issue is inadequate signage in the area as there are other paved trails and sidewalks In the area that can cause confusion.

Bicentennial Greenway

Very Bumpy

August, 2020 by waskess11

As others have commented , this paved Greenaway is not smooth due to many humps and bumps from tree roots. Lots of cracks and difficult to tell when a crack is a bulge or just a crack. Nice Scenery, not too difficult, but if you go, Be Careful and go slow!

Riverwalk Greenway

Bikes allowed on western portion

July, 2020 by alois_tl

We ride this trail on our bikes weekly. It’s true the eastern portion is closed to bikes, but there is about 2.5 miles open for very nice biking. It’s best to start at Gold Park in West Hillsborough. This trail can be busy at times, but it is shaded most of the way with great views of the Eno River.

Bicentennial Greenway

roots killing our bikes

Last week fiance broke his wheel hitting a bump. The day i hit a bump broke my pedal near gibson park.

Bicentennial Greenway

Not for road bikes

July, 2020 by chamlett1

Sure the trail is asphalt but the tree roots sticking out made it a very bumpy ride and uncomfortable ride. My friend and I drove from Clayton and Durham to ride the Bicentennial Greenway. We got on at the Penny Rd location. We were very disappointed. There were stairs and even a blockage that had a sign to dismount our bikes. It would be nice if Guilford County Parks would invest in fixing the trail.

Bakers Creek Greenway

not really a trail

June, 2020 by jodi7mercedes

This is not really a trail it’s more of a walk through a neighborhood you legit walk through streets at some point to make it all the way around

Riverwalk Greenway

PEDESTRIAN ONLY

June, 2020 by jackritterskamp

This is a nice trail, the river walk end is CLEARLY and PROMINENTLY marked as no bikes allowed. Much of the speedway end of the trail was difficult to bike (we only saw signs later after being told to look). Sadly it's the only trail in this part of the state.
