First off, the CE Trail connects perfectly to the Newberry Trail which can bring you into the center of Appleton. The Trail is a good condition and perfect for walking and biking. Every time I ride on it I see people enjoying it. There are big hills/descents to cross some roads, but it's nothing impossible. It also connects to many other roads like State Park Road, almost all of them are perfect for biking. Overall it serves as a funnel into and out of Appleton while also connecting you to multiple businesses like the Kimberly YMCA and the Recyclist. I use it at least once a month.
I’ve been utilizing this trail for 14+years and I love it. It’s very well kept and beautiful all year round.
A great well maintained asphalt trail . Can be busy at times, but a great view of Lake Michigan!
Beautiful water views and easy trail to follow. Very popular and can be busy though.
Excellent surface. No holes or soft spots. Pass over 9 bridges and cross 12 roads. Mile markers every 1/4 - 1/2 mile. Nice tree canopy over trail. No bathrooms except in Denmark, and those weren’t unlocked.
At Hoffman Road the trail is impassible. Not by water, but by mud and debris 9-29-20
Don’t expect to find much at Rockwood at the end of the trail.
This is an easy and enjoyable trail. Smooth surface, very well maintained and clean. A great route to the Little Cute area and various locations in Appleton without risks from heavy traffic.
