This is a nice short trail but we always ride this trail out and back and then connect to other trails riding along the Frisco trails bike lane to McCormick park and then lake front trails! Makes for a nice long ride !

An underrated urban trail

I biked this trail a couple of days ago. Nice scenery along the creek. Well maintained. Bikers beware, there are several sets of stairs.

I loved this trail. Beautiful scenery, very lively, lots of birds and flowers. The pond is relaxing. We even saw a blue heron. Highly recommend!

White Rock Lake Park Loop Trail

excellent option

This is our first time in this park; it's a super busy place. You have to be very careful because there are people walking, running, skating, with strollers, and on bicycles. And if it's your first time, the energy is amazing

Cotton Belt Trail

Rode this trail on Christmas day. It's a great trail but I can imagine all of the intersections might be sketchy during high traffic times. Other than that it's an awesome trail.

Legacy Trail (TX)

Worth the effort

This is a fun trail for walkers, runners, families, bikes, and E–bikes. The trail is picturesque and interesting so you don’t get bored easily. I can’t get busy on weekends, but if you go at the right hour, hopefully you’ll be able to do the path without too much congestion. For an in–city trail, this one gets five stars.

Chaparral Rail Trail

New hikers, completed 13.2 miles

October, 2025 by christamcclure

My hub and I parked one of our cars at Celeste HS and the other at the Farmersville Trailhead parking lot. Starting at 8:10am from the trailhead, we hiked the 13.2 miles. We are in moderate shape and our feet were dead when we reached the high school around 1pm. I have large blisters on the outside of each foot and hub has blisters on both of his achiles tendons. The trail was great. It was clean and had many benches and trashcans within 3 miles of the trailhead. The trail crosses many streets and many bridges. The trees shade a majority of the trail. There aren't any benches between Merit and Celeste and much of the trail is rocky.

Coombs Creek Trail

boring and creepy

Not the best for single women to walk alone. So take a friend a stick or some maze if you do! Better for riding bikes.

Cottonwood Creek Greenbelt Trail (Frisco)

sure it is short, but lovely

Perfect for all kinds of human fueled wheels.

Cotton Belt Trail

Great trail, some crossings are a bit sketchy. Over all a great ride for a recumbent bike great places to stop get water and restrooms along the way. Once you reach grape vine from cambridge or iron horse trail head there are great places to eat.
