Minto-Brown Island Park Paved Path

Unexpected great ride

June, 2025 by barbscondo

We started in Parking lot#3. Glad to have the traillink map-it was fun cruising around all the loops - so much better than a straight path. Every section was different. Beautiful scenery - saw a big eagle nest with Mama in it/a huge lilypad pond. We did 10miles but this could easily be at least a 20mile trail. Just go in reverse and mixup the loops. Totally enjoyable and I would use this all the time if I lived close to it.

Salem Parkway Bike Path

Wednesday evening.

Nice connection between Kaiser Station and down by Home Depot. There’s a couple of cracks that you need to be careful of other than that. Great ride.

We camped at the county fairgrounds in Rickreall and rode into Monmouth to visit college haunts. An enjoyable day.

Highway 99W Bike Path

Great easy ride for young kids

August, 2022 by ellenzosborn

We live just a few blocks from this trail in Monmouth. The community uses the trail especially in the early morning & evening in the summers for jogging & cycling. It’s wide, flat & traffic-free (even tho it runs along the Highway). There is a convenient bike repair station along the trail in front of the Monmouth Police Station. Just across the highway via a well-marked crosswalk is Gentle Woods Park (named after the Gentle family) with shade, grassy fields, a small playground & footbridge across the middle fork of Ash Creek.

Salem Parkway Bike Path

Very smooth

June, 2022 by felixcandelaria1998

It’s a smooth path for the most part. It has a little bit of cracks and sometimes branches. There is a couple tents from the homeless at the beginning of the path, I’ve never had a problem so far but it’s a pretty good spot otherwise

Campus Way Bike Path

There is a slight downhill slope on the way towards campus so be aware if you're a newbie rollerskater.

Minto-Brown Island Park Paved Path

Safe and gentle bike path

September, 2019 by cseaders

This paved path has great signage, as long as you know which parking lot you parked in. It would be really hard to get lost. Families and friendly people on the way. Cell service not great there, so plan ahead. 5 parking areas that I counted and some porta potties. I'll be back!

Bald Hill Multi-Modal Path

Fun little trail

August, 2019 by odells

Anytime I come across a couple of goats going for a walk, I just know I’m on the right trail! So many friendly people and some serious athleticism going on there, too. The path might be short but has some inclines that seem to produce a bit of perspiration. I loved the trail and will be back again. Hopefully see those sweet goats again!
