144th Street Trail

meh…frequent rider, wouldn’t go out of my way for it though

April, 2024 by hbwjwjtrhj

It’s just riding a bike through a city. And not even a scenic, aesthetically pleasing city. Just a bunch of fast food restaurants, neighborhood developments, some schools, strip malls and lakes on each end. If that’s your thing, then ride the whole trail. Personally, I will ride parts of it frequently because it’s convenient and close to home. But it’s not a great trail, more just a bike path along a major road.

Keystone Trail

Trail Closed at The Mart for sewer repair

August, 2023 by nosliwrenee

There is a detour but you have to cross Dodge Street. Just wanted to share this info with riders. It closed now and will be for 5 months in this section. https://omaha.com/news/local/omaha-to-close-portion-of-keystone-trail-for-5-months/article_07b99bce-3852-11ee-bb43-3bcb2f7635e1.html

144th Street Trail

Too many major streets to cross

August, 2023 by gustaff1142

This is not my idea of a fun bike trail. Lots of street traffic. You have to cross just about every major east-west street in Omaha.

Sorensen Parkway Trail

Not a bike trail. Mostly pedestrian sidewalk.

July, 2023 by jreitman28

Do not attempt to ride on the sidewalk as much of it is in disrepair. This should not be listed as a trail.

Flanagan Lake Trail

My go to for biking. Has no shade at all. good vibes tho

Standing Bear Lake and Recreation Area Trail

Good for biking/walking. As of July 2023 the lake is drained, floating bridge is closed and part of the trail is under construction. It is still possible to make a full loop including the floating bridge if you ignore signs and go around closed fence

Perry Creek Trail

Great trail!

June, 2023 by allyn.dana

Paved and well maintained trail that follows Perry Creek from down by Hard Rock Hotel, and goes all the way to Outer Drive. From there you can take Outer Drive and connect to Floyd River trail if desired.

Union Bridge Trail

awesome

July, 2022 by allyn.dana

We ride this trail often. It starts at Little Sioux Park or there is a small parking lot in Correctionville. It isn’t a long trail but you go over the original rail Union Bridge over the river and around a lake and alongside the river in spots. It’s just a lovely interesting ride. They are currently working on the lake area.

Lake Cunningham Trail

Awesome Trail!

June, 2022 by digitalrevguy

8’ wide NEW concrete at 6.4 miles long with beautiful scenery, slight elevations, great picnic spots and easy access! The “C” is a great addition to the Omaha trail system!

Lake Cunningham Trail

1st time - LOVE this trail!

June, 2022 by digitalrevguy

I’m still a relative new comer to this trail thing (e-biking), but have been to the “C” twice and really like it. The trail is a nice new eight foot wide. The scenery is beautiful and for me the distance (6.4 miles) is perfect. It’s largely flat with just a few spots of slight elevation making it perfect for almost any rider. There are many beautiful spots to stop to hydrate or perhaps even lunch. 3 parking lots make access super easy. This is a great addition to the Omaha trail system.

Omaha Riverfront Trail

Disappointing

October, 2021 by thejake91739

After starting from the Lewis and Clark National Historic Headquarters and Visitor Center, we bicycled across the awesome Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge, rode the Iowa Riverfront Trail, and then crossed back to ride the Omaha Riverfront Trail.
I'm sorry to say it was less than impressive. We traveled from Southern California to experience the bridge and bike trails on both sides of the Old Muddy, and Omaha really let us down. There were some great views of the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge and the mighty Missouri River, but due to construction the downriver portion of the trail past the Lewis and Clark center was closed off!
Heading upriver was just as disappointing. After a mile or so the trail just comes to an end at a restaurant parking lot. We were tempted to ride through the parking lot, get on Abbott Drive to find where the trail eventually resumes, but these two senior citizens didn't particularly want to share the road with two ton vehicles whizzing past us.
OMAHA: We look forward to coming back when all of three sections of your Riverfront Trail are a connected Class IV Bikeway and construction free!

Perry Creek Trail

Trail runs along the Perry Creek from Stone Park to Downtown where you can connect to Riverfront trail. A nice ride
