Very Nice Trail

April, 2025 by fqp8px526n

Great trail....nice and shady. Nice pavement with just a couple of spots they are working on. At the end near the Eisenhower Park the switchbacks are pretty steep but that is the only place we ran into.

Stop ringing hell’s bells!!!

March, 2025 by dsteinbeck78

Cyclists ringing their bells at me when I’m already on the far right is SO irritating! It IS noise pollution!!! Don’t ring hell’s bells at pedestrians who are already on the proper side of the trail!

Salado Creek Greenway

Another great trail

February, 2025 by dpate

The Salado Creek Greenway is another gem in San Antonio. I discovered it at Eisenhower Park and rode to the south end of the north section. I tried to ride to the south section of the trail but I turned around and drove to Jack White Park to do the south section. Superb trail! Five stars!! Traveling cyclist Facebook

Leon Creek Greenway

Super Trail!

February, 2025 by dpate

The Leon Creek Greenway is a super nice wide paved trail through the woods. It’s curvy and hilly. It’s one of the nicest trails I have ridden. I envy the people who live in San Antonio for the wonderful trails here. FIVE stars! Traveling cyclist Facebook

Nice short cemented trail with lots of wildflowers in early May.

Great Trail

Smooth concrete trail. A little crowded in the middle through the park area. Be ready for an abrupt end at the west end of the trail.

Very nice trail and hard to believe you are in a city. Wooded with lots of shade.

Until you get near Eisenhower Park, this is a mostly flat trail. Just before the park there's one really big hill with switchbacks that's a little rough but not the worst we've seen. Solid ride...we did almost 40 round trip

Veloway Trail

My own neighborhood Veloway!!!!!

July, 2023 by allbizns

I just moved back to my hometown of Austin, and live in a nice, quiet, safe, gated neighborhood, in Circle C Ranch. I decided to get back into road cycling, so I bought an amazing bike, and started looking for safe places to ride. To my immense shock and pleasure, I found that the Veloway was five minutes away.

This park is unique in the US. So, what a blessing. It is about 3.6 miles, very clean, safe, well kept, with no hikers, or cars. I love it, and spend an hour or so, doing laps, a few times a week, to train for long group (intermediate) rides. It is a tough course, and I love it.

I wish these were all over our country, as I have homes, and business interests, throughout the country…
