Ozaukee Interurban Trail

Enjoy the Ride!

September, 2020 by lbbike

I rode this trail in its entirety today logging 61.2 miles. The only reason that I rated this trail as 4 instead of 5 stars are the segments on roads instead of the trail. I did try to carefully navigate and watch for the signs, but still got lost a few times. Aside from that, there were some really enjoyable scenic portions to the trail as you head further north. The bridge near Grafton (cover photo for this trail) was particularly awesome. I also enjoyed the lakefront park in Port Washington. Plenty of places to stop and eat if you so choose. The portion of the trail furthest north has the least amount of intersections, so it's great if you want to ride with minimal interruptions. All in all I enjoyed my ride, and would do it again!

East River Trail

Still Under Water

September, 2020 by scottnei3

I decided to give this trail another try on my way back from South Depere. Many of the areas that have been underwater were heavy with debris and algae which could cause for caution to avoid taking a fall on my road bike. Once I cross the bridge heading towards Allouez Avenue just passed Green Isle Park the trail was blocked off still I’m assuming due to the boardwalks still being underwater. But all in all on his trail is open and dry

Fox River State Trail

great trail for a long run

September, 2020 by briihinen

Really nice trail with some really great scenery and great photo ops. Flat, long, clean, lots of trail goers (dog walkers, runners, bikers), but not crowded.

Hidden Gem

I rode this entire trail this weekend. I love how wide it is. Parked in Denmark. Restrooms were closed. Saw less than ten people out on my ride. Scenic, peaceful, easy to ride.

Worth it!

My wife and I were visiting with family in Elkhart Lake and decided to stop here for a quick 13 mile ride before driving back to Cincinnati, OH. I’m glad we did! Very rideable and enjoyable terrain. We would definitely come back if we were nearbyy.

There is also an additional off shoot trail on the south side of Indiana Ave. intersection that goes west into the village of Kohler near the factory. A small area where you can fish and have a nice picnic along the Sheboygan River.

Devil's River State Trail

Great Trail!

August, 2020 by sderoz07

Parked near start of trail in Denmark in parking lot with restrooms located off of Main Street on Railroad Ave (near Main Street Market). Crushed stone surface, which seems to be very well maintained with beautiful green scenery. Came across only one small stretch of trail that was wet and slightly muddy. Rode entire length of trail and only saw two bikers and someone pushing a stroller - Enjoyed the peace and quiet! The only negative would be the lack of shade. Being in direct sunlight at 85° with a dew point of 65° wasn't the most comfortable temperature to be in without shade. Overall though my first time on this trail was great. I will definitely ride it again, but most likely during closer to and during fall when it's a little cooler. VERY few gnats compared to other trails - I think having the greenery cut down quite a few feet away from the trail and the lack of water helped!

Lake to Lake Bike Trail (WI)

would do it again!

August, 2020 by jstelzel

Left from Long Lake. Perfect for what I was looking for. Varied scenery, lots of gorgeous meadows, some forest, then swamp-like lands as you get closer to Mauthe Lake. Milder hills compared to what you’d find road biking in the area. Some shade (we left around 10:30am) but depending on time of day and position of sun you could have more shade. I didn’t need bug spray but recommend bringing just incase. Trail wasn’t busy at all. Very enjoyable ride.

Duck Creek Trail (WI)

We wanted to try this trail out as we live near it. There are no trail heads marked. The section near the duck Creek Park is completely over grown with trees fallen over the trail. Definitely not for biking. Maybe you would enjoy hiking?

Good Surface But Noisy

Hilly and little shade. Many road crossings and constant car noise from the highway.
