Cherry Creek Regional Trail

Riding our Recumbent Trikes along the Cherry Creek Trail

September, 2018 by bjandjoondo

We rode the section from the McCabe Meadows Trail Head to the Cherry Creek Reservoir around 27 miles round trip. Although it's mostly only 8 ft. wide, the trail is in very good shape and has lot's of wooded, prairie and urban sections. It's a mellow ride with very few big inclines! We really appreciated that there were several trail heads with facilities (restrooms, picnic table, etc.). We plan to ride the next section north into Down Town Denver soon, we really enjoyed this trail!

Westerly Creek Trail

Wrong Turn and Ended Up On This One

August, 2018 by acewickwire

Sort of a nice ride through green space and parks. Only went a few miles from the north end (Expo Park) to Utah Park. Started on High Line Canal Trail but poorly marked trail and this seemed like the trail to follow. Okay trail if in the locale but not one to go out the way for.

Best view of Denver. The trail is wonderful. Great ride.

Cherry Creek Regional Trail

Well Designed but Crowded

May, 2018 by razryan98

Trail has bikers, walkers and joggers with heavy usage. It's relatively flat and any novice can do it. However be warned, there are numerous bikers who ride at speeds over 20mph (posted limit of 15) and don't care to slowdown for congestion or warn people being overtaken. While every ride is enjoyable, this one was more stressful than any I've been on.

Big Dry Creek Trail (Littleton)

Great Trail

February, 2018 by docjaakkola_tl

We Parked near South Suburban golf course on the east end of the trail and headed west. Majority of trail was packed dirt with intermittent concrete sections. The trail follows Big Dry Creek the whole way. Wonderful, quiet trail. Only have to cross the road once at Colorado Blvd near South Suburban golf course. The trail goes under the road at Dry Creek Rd, Arapahoe Rd and University Blvd. You pass through a very nice park, Cherry Knolls Park complete with open bathrooms in the winter. We ended at DeKoevend Park near the Goodson Rec Center on the east side of University Blvd. This trail connects to the Highline Vanal Teail here. Loved the trail. Felt like we were in a rural area.

New Santa Fe Regional Trail

Great trail

January, 2018 by philcavinta

My wife and son rode from North gate to Palmer Lake and back. It’s a good track that’s relatively flat as compared to section 16 that my son and I normally ride. Recommend this section for and easy ride.

Rock Island Trail (CO)

Fantastic from Union to Powers

December, 2017 by 8 wheel transit

Wide concrete trail from Union east to Powers. Several sections were recently reconstructed. There are a few street crossings and an underpass at Circle Dr.

Bear Creek Trail (Denver)

Inline Skating Review

November, 2017 by wmloving

Starting at River Point, near Regal Cinemas Stadium and 85/285 intersection, the first 1/2 mile or so along the golf course is 7-8' wide smooth concrete, with 4 wood plank bridges crossing the creek. The next 1/4+ mile section is narrower, twists and turns a bit, and is combination of somewhat uneven asphalt and older concrete, a section of which is pitted on one side from winter weather. I would recommend skipping over this section if you are an inexperienced skater; experienced skaters should be fine. From S Lowell Street on the trail is newly paved, smooth and wider (9-10') and makes for wonderful, fast skating with many places to stop for a break. If you want to skip the first section, consider starting at Bear Creek Park. I didn't travel to the end but will update my review if the western parts have any issues for skaters.
